Temazcal - the Journey of Healing

Temazcal is a traditional Mexican steam ritual with deep roots in pre-Columbian civilizations, such as the Aztecs and Mayans. The word "temazcal" comes from Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs, and translates to "house of sweat." Historically and even today, this ritual is used for cleansing the body, mind, and spirit.

The temazcal ceremony takes place in a specially built, low, round stone structure where a steam bath is created using heated stones and medicinal herbs. Participants sit inside, while the shaman or ceremony leader pours water infused with herbs over the hot stones, generating intense steam. The heat and steam not only purify the skin and open the pores, but they also have a deeply therapeutic and relaxing effect on the body.

This ritual also holds a significant spiritual dimension. Many believe that temazcal helps release negative energy and emotions, supports the detoxification of the body, and offers healing on both physical and emotional levels.

A temazcal experience is both unique and powerful, making it a perfect opportunity for guests who seek an authentic, health-boosting, and spiritually enriching experience.
